I am a hobbyist cook from Westerville, Ohio. I developed a love of cooking shows at a young age watching Graham Kerr (a.k.a. The Galloping Gourmet). That is when I learned you cannot cook unless you have a glass of wine.
I learned the basics of cooking from my Mother and Grandmother, as well as some amazing family recipes including cabbage rolls, lasagna, and thin pancakes. Over the years I’ve collected recipes from friends and tried recipes from notable chefs like Julia Child, Jeff Smith (The Frugal Gourmet), Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsay, Emeril Lagasse, and Anthony Bourdain.
My favorite chefs, the ones I study the most, are Paul Prudhomme, Thomas Keller, and J. Kenji Lopez-Alt. The Food Lab is a must cookbook for anyone wanting to improve their cooking.
